Hello Wonderful Weirdos!
I am so excited to be participating in the Whyte Ave Art Walk 2024 in Edmonton! I have never been an artist in an ArtWalk before, so I am a bit nervous as to what to expect! I thought this would be a fabulous way to make friends, since I'm new to this area as well as network and engage in promoting the art scene in this amazing city -it's also a bonus if people buy my art!
When I found out that Edmonton closes down a portion of Whyte Ave, which is a major road artery, to have artists come together and erect (sorry for such a phallic word, haha) tents on the roadway, I was blown away with the concept. It's so cool to promote the belonging of the city's creative community, and importance of art! Here in Canada, our summers are short, so when the sun is shining I want to be outside! I simply cannot wait to load up my SUV with all of my art and claim my little spot in this fabulous event.
If you are in Edmonton, July 12-14 10 AM- 5 PM Daily come find me in Zone 2, Tent 19; don't forget to check out all of the other amazing artists along the way! I would love to meet you and talk about art, using art as therapy, and learn about your experience with creativity!
This is one of the pieces that I will be bringing with me! It's one of the largest artworks I've done (22" x 30") in watercolor and ink. It's going to be mounted to birch board, and will be available to purchase.
